Terms of Service

1. Casey is a practice tool
Casey simulates an oral argument before an AI judge for rehearsal purposes only. It does not provide legal advice, does not represent any court, and is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed attorney. Nothing in a Casey session should be relied on as a prediction of how a real judge, court, or tribunal will rule.
2. Public-record profiles
Casey provides AI-generated advocacy practice and analysis of public court records. The judges speaking in a simulation are fictional. A reference to a real judge identifies a public-record research profile; it does not mean that judge participates in, reviewed, approved, sponsored, or endorsed Casey or its outputs. Generated questions, scores, and comments are not statements, opinions, or decisions of any real judge or court. You must not represent a simulation as an authentic court record, as a communication from a judge, or as evidence of a judge's views, and must not remove the simulation and source labels when sharing an output.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.
4. Recordings, transcripts and uploaded documents
During a hearing, Casey captures your voice and transcribes it, and on paid plans it records the audio so you can review it later. Documents you upload to brief the judge are stored with the session. We encrypt this content before storing it, use it only to run your hearing and grade your argument, and share it only with the service providers described in our Privacy Policy that help us do that. You can delete any session, your whole session history, or your account at any time from your account page.
You remain responsible for your own professional and confidentiality obligations, including any duties to your clients, your firm or a court. Before you upload or argue a real matter, consider whether you're permitted to share it, and you may want to remove client names or other identifying details first.
5. Paid plans and billing
Paid plans renew automatically. A Pro trial is free for 7 days, then $299 a month unless you cancel before the trial ends; the Student plan is $49 a month from the day you subscribe. We charge the card on file at the start of each monthly period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page, which opens our payment processor's billing portal; cancelling stops future charges and does not refund a period already billed, except as required by law. We will email you before a trial converts and whenever the price or terms change.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Casey to harass, abuse, or attempt to extract content from the underlying models in ways that violate their providers' policies, and don't attempt to interfere with the service's normal operation.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Casey is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casey and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any outcome of an actual legal proceeding you prepared for using Casey.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
